Apple is rumored to be in talks with Verizon for 2010!

Apple is rumored to be in talks with Verizon for 2010!

The once believed rejected to have it’s first chance at the iphone, Verizon is now claiming to be in discussion in Apple for it’s very own iPhone coming in 2010!

The latest Apple News points to it’s source, USA Today explains that Verizon reported entered serious talks Apple. The newspaper infers that the phone are able to have to be CDMA version, so that it’s compatible with Verizon’s existent networks. Such action would contradicts Apple COO Tim Cook’s own dismissal of CDMA go on week: When discussed about the iPhone making excessively justified the absence of CDMA model by declaring that a single, GSM phone model to produce than a CDMA model. Cook as well criticized CDMA by asserting it has no future, as most CDMA carries plan to phase out the technology in favor of the same 4G standard what will be used on GSM network.

More likely is a direct leap to a 4G. Verizon chief executive Ivan Seiderberng recently explained that a deal might be in the operates as 4G rolls out in 2010, and therefore experience at lest certain of it’s network ready for an iPhone CMDA version by then.

However, if Verizon does land an iPhone of its own AT&T may topple those ambitions in it’s own discussions. Although separate rumors reads this the up to date iPhone carrier is pushing Apple to extend it’s US exclusivity until 2011!

Any successful deal, no matter the network type, would likely be a serious blow to AT&T, which credited much of its ability to weather the ongoing economic crisis to iPhone sales and the resulting spike in data revenue. Aside from reducing incentives to launch massive, special upgrades to the network, a Verizon model would let those dissatisfied with AT&T’ s 3G coverage or its customer service defect to Verizon without giving up Apple’s handset.

Verizon Voyager: The Iphone Killer?

Verizon Wireless on Wednesday have introduced four hot new mobile phones for the 2007 holiday season, in ther sincere hopes that one of the four is desirable enough to shift the attention away from Apple’s iPhone.

The Verizon Voyager, made by LG sports a large external touch screen and opens up to reveal a keypad.

Attracting the most attention about the Voyager, is that it resembles the iPhone in several distinct ways. The Voyager is equipped a external touch screen that slides open to reveal a full QWERTY keypad. This gives users a choice on how they access the phone’s features, according to Verizon Wireless.

The keyboard is one advantage the Voyager has over the iPhone’s touch-screen-only design. In addition, Verizon Wireless’ has a fast 3G data network that the Voyager will use to access the Internet. The iPhone doesn’t employ 3G technology. Instead, it uses AT&T Edge data network, slower alternative.

The Shortcut Menu icons that display on the Voyager’s touch screen and the other set of icons at the bottom of the screen bear a astonishing likeness to the iPhone.

The Voyager also comes with an array of multimedia capabilities that include an HTML Web browser; Verizon Wireless’ V Cast mobile TV, video, and the URGE music service; MP3 playback ability, as well as WMA, and AAC files.

For more media and file storage, the Voyager has a removable MicroSD memory slot that can hold up to 8 Gbytes of memory.

”The Apple iPhone shook things up. If you look closely at the iPhone, it’s just an ordinary phone in an extraordinary package,” stated Jeff Kagan, a wireless and telecom industry analyst.

”That’s what this Verizon Wireless phone is doing. It is competing with the iPhone in this segment of the cell phone marketplace. It is Verizon’s answer to AT&T’s and Apple’s iPhone. I fully expect Sprint, T-Mobile, and a variety of other carriers — large and small — to come out with their version.”

Verizon Wireless’ season lineup also includes the Venus by LG, the Juke by Samsung, and the BlackBerry Pearl 8130 by Research In Motion.

Verizon Wireless has not yet let the buying public know when the Voyager will be available for, but industry analysts are expecting the Voyager to be in stores before Thanksgiving.

iPhone on Verizon

meantime, if you live in a cave, you have heard and seen the amazing new iPhone from Apple. The iPhone stands alone in the race of the mobile phone manufacturers, state of the art technology to bring a single device that fits in the palm. I have had the iPhone in my hands, and I must say, it is absolutely amazing.

To the decision of the second understood largest mobile phone company made, with first on the exclusive distributor of the iPhone passed on Verizon , we have to go back to the pre-release of the iPhone before June 29 2007th It seems Apple had more control in the sense of the iPhone on Verizon, as Verizon could stomach. Apple’s first negotiations with Verizon, said dramatic unprecedented variables, a percentage of monthly income, control over support and service, and even contain, control of distribution. All these were not advantageous to the Verizon CEO’s and shareholders, and satellite distributors such as Wal-Mart, Best Buy and other outlets Verizon. have “That would set our own distribution partners at a disadvantage” to Apple and Verizon stores, Gerace said Jim, a vice president of Verizon Wireless. Another problem was customer service, if an iPhone was unstable and went haywire, Apple wanted to decide in its sole discretion whether to replace or repair the phone. “They would have been strengthened in between us and our customers to the point where we almost had to take a back seat … on hardware and service support,” Gerace says.

In addition to Apple’s claims, there are also restrictions on technology within the existing Verizon CDMA network to see how the current version of the iPhone only works on GSM networks. Although the first generation iPhone does not support CDMA, the one planned for Europe this year may already be supporting the CDMA technology. Another issue believed to would be a hurdle for the iPhone on the Verizon network, like Verizon, says their skin on their existing mobile phone operating systems that agree to Apple’s probably not happy, as it is slow and unstable. From what I’ve read, Verizon converts to the WCDMA technology from the older, outdated CDMA Apple more than likely would not support Verizon.

Thus there is any hope of seeing the iPhone on Verizon? When Verizon upgraded to the 3G network model would be in a position, the iPhone version supports GSM, thus boosting the sales for Apple, and actually have the potential of the target for 2008 sales of 10 million iPhone sales to hit! Sales in 2007 sold for the iPhone topped 1.1 million phones.

Ipod Touch 64 GB – the (almost) Cure For Verizon Iphone envy! Like many others I have a Verizon Wireless customer who do not want to go AT & T, just to get the iPhone. Well, I have 64GB iPod touch a few weeks and now I see why iPhone users are so crazy about their mobile phone. This thing is a blast. It’s basically everything has an iPhone, except the phone and the camera – but you can run applications that let you make calls and text should download, at least if you are on a wireless network. There is no need for too much detail go, other people have done that. I will say the touch screen is excellent, very accommodating, but in any case, get a screen protector. A case would not hurt.

The iPod touch 64GB and a further model has Wi-Fi enabled, so if you set up a wireless network at home, you can use it to use your e-mail, surf the Web, the weather forecasts, download songs from iTunes, travel information on Google Maps, etc. are pretty much all the available apps in the iTunes Store for the iPhone available for the 64GB iPod touch as well. you can download and manage songs and syncing apps directly on the iPod touch 64GB, or by installing a computer with iTunes. is simple (and you can also synchronize contacts, etc, depending on what programs you have).

Almost everything is very intuitive and easy to learn, but if you have never used the Safari browser is, it takes several minutes to realize how to pages (the equivalent of changing tabs in Firefox or Internet Explorer) [Note: the small icon in the right corner with a number tells you how many pages you have open] was . It saves the pages, so even if you do not on a Wi-Fi network that you can still see that you last viewed (all pages that were open). You can

Videos YouTube and then send an e-pals. And you can use the 64GB iPod touch automatically play videos in landscape mode (as if you were tilting the phone sideways). A note of caution: If you get a case, you can Watch videos and listen to music with headphones because the speaker goes from the back of the phone and a case that covers the back is the sound muffle.

If you re your CD collection ripped at 256 kbps or any Songs are downloaded at a higher bit rate, or you want to save and view many TV shows, then get in any case, the 64GB as the 32GB fills up faster than you think.

I really no complaints about the iPod touch 64GB, except that it is not an iPhone … But Verizon is replaced by the iPhone to do so.
